After clearing the written examination, the successful candidates are called for the SSB Interview in various SSB Centres based on choice of service and schedule of the SSB Centres.

How to Approach the Reporting Process in SSB Centre. First go through your Call Letter very deliberately. To begin with, check the city in which your SSB Interview is scheduled. After figuring out the city and state, make your train reservation well in advance so that you will have a comfortable journey from your hometown to the SSB Centre.

What are SSB Centres?

The SSB centres in India are tasked with the selection of candidates for commissioning officers into the Indian Armed Forces, which includes the Army, Navy, and Air Force. It is the SSB Centres from where the Service Selection Board operates from multiple SSB Centres, each renowned for its unique testing facilities, experienced assessors, and challenging evaluation procedures.

What is Reporting Procedure in SSB ?

Reporting procedure in SSB means reaching at right destination at right time along with verification of documents. The process of candidate’s arrival and initial documentation is called reporting.

What is the Importance of Reporting Time ?

The reporting time defines how you will spend your reporting day. If you have been instructed to report at 6 AM then you will undergo the Day 1 process on the same day. However, if you are being asked to report during the Noon or afternoon hours, your Day 1 Process will begin the next day. Reporting has a lot of importance because it is like your first Date with the SSB Center.

Reporting Time. The typical reporting time for SSB (Services Selection Board) is 6:00 AM, though some centers may have a 2:00 PM reporting time on the first day. Candidates are usually asked to report to the designated Railway Station, and a representative from the SSB will be present to guide them. If a candidate arrives late, they may need to report directly to the Selection Centre, according to the Indian Army.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

· Morning Reporting (6:00 AM). This is the most common reporting time for the first day of the SSB process, which is typically the Screening Day or the Day 1.

· Afternoon Reporting (2:00 PM). Some SSB centers, particularly for CDS entries, may have a 2:00 PM reporting time on the first day. This is considered "Day 0", and the actual Day 1 testing process may begin the next day.

· Reporting Location. Candidates are typically instructed to report to the Railway Station mentioned in their call-up letter.

· Late Reporting. If a candidate misses the scheduled reporting time, they should proceed directly to the Selection Centre.

· Importance of Reporting on Time. Being on time for reporting is crucial as it marks the beginning of the candidate's interaction with the SSB center and the commencement of the assessment process.

What is MCO. MCO stands for Movement Control Office and it is located at major Indian railway stations with an aim to assist defence personnel in India with their train journey including carrying out reservation and place to rest in railway station premises.

MCO Location in Railway Station. Generally, the Movement Control Office (MCO) is located in the first platform of Railway station. But it is always better to ask in enquiry counter at Railway station about the exact location of MCO office. At MCO, representative of SSB centre will be waiting for you. So just go to them and they will guide you further to the SSB centre. Generally, a military bus will come to pick up all SSB candidates at Railway station. And once in the group, you will face no problems.

How to Recognize SSB representative at Railway Station Or MCO. You can easily find out the SSB personnel as they will be waiting for you in their respective service uniform in the Railway Station or the MCO. Furthermore, if you are not the first one to reach at Railway Station, you will see good number of SSB candidates there. So just go to them and introduce yourself and tell them that you have a call letter for SSB interview.

Document Verification. Before proceeding to the SSB centre, you have to undergo document verification by SSB personnel at Railway station itself. Once your documents are verified, then you may proceed further to SSB interview location. So, this is your first day of SSB interview. Go on and make your first impression as the best impression.

Reach Early. It is always advisable to reach the SSB reporting venue five to ten minutes before the specified time. Well, if you are late for some obvious reason, don't panic. Even if you arrive little late for a reason, you will not get disqualified by the SSB board. Still, it is always better to be at correct time to avoid unnecessary tensions.
